Advanced diagnostics

Technological advances in sleep medicine have significantly improved the way sleep disorders are diagnosed. Some of Dr. Mike’s exemplary diagnostic capabilities include:

  • Full-night digital video recording to help correlate sleep behavior with sleep problems such as night-terrors (sleep terror disorder) and sleepwalking.
  • Polysomnographic study (PSG) to evaluate brain, eye and muscle movement, blood oxygen levels, heart rate, breathing effort, airflow through breathing passages, snoring and chest and abdominal movement.
  • Multiple sleep latency test (MSLT) to help diagnose narcolepsy and other sleep disorders.
  • Maintenance of wakefulness test (MWT) to measure your ability to stay awake during sleep-inducing circumstances.

Sleep like a baby during your sleep study

If Dr. Mike determines that you need a sleep study, it will take place at one of several quality facilities, located throughout the DFW Metroplex, that make you feel right at home with their pleasant decor and home-like feel. The comfort of your sleep study room can help you feel more relaxed, which can maximize the effectiveness of your sleep study. If you have a family member or loved one who wants to spend the night while your sleep study is being conducted, they will gladly be accommodated.
